Verizon today announced preorder availability for Samsung's next-generation foldable lineup, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2. The devices are available exclusively on Verizon's Simplicity Plan and My Biz Plan, which the carrier says removes network tiers and gives customers full device freedom.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at $1,899.99 and is available in Lavender, Graphite and Cream. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at $2,099.99 in Violet Shadow, Graphite and Cream. The Galaxy Watch9 starts at $429.99, while the Watch Ultra2 starts at $699.99. Preorders begin July 22 at Verizon stores, verizon.com and the My Verizon app, with full retail availability on August 7.
Verizon is offering several promotions to attract customers. New customers who switch to a Simplicity Plan can get the Galaxy Z Fold8 (256GB) for $60 per month for 48 months, which includes the $30 per month device payment and $30 per month plan cost. The device price is reduced by $460 in promotional credits over 48 months. To qualify, customers must open a new smartphone line, sign up for Auto Pay and paper-free billing, and port in a number from another carrier.
For the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, new customers can save up to $420 with similar requirements, bringing the monthly device payment to $35 per month. Existing customers can upgrade and receive up to $1,100 off by trading in an eligible phone and switching to an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan. The trade-in phone must be active on the Verizon account for at least 60 days before purchase.
Verizon is also offering an Ultimate Bundle: customers who buy a new Samsung phone on a payment plan or bring their own device with a new line can get a Galaxy Watch9 and a Galaxy Tab S10 FE on us, with up to $650 in promotional credits per device over 36 months. Additionally, customers can bring their own Android phone to get a Galaxy Watch9 on us or the Watch Ultra2 for as low as $8 per month.
For business customers, Verizon offers up to $900 off the Galaxy Z8 series for new and existing Verizon Business customers adding a new line or upgrading with a qualifying trade-in, requiring a device payment plan and a My Biz Plan with $15+ monthly add-on spending.
Verizon is promoting its loyalty program, which gives customers cash back in Verizon Dollars every month, and Verizon Shine, a weekly sweepstakes for experiences and daily drops. For a limited time, customers who purchase a qualifying Galaxy Z Fold8 or Z Fold8 Ultra can get the Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ (With Ads) Perk for six months on us with Simplicity Plan or myPlan.
