tonies SE, the globally leading interactive audio platform for children, today announced the Toniebox Lite, a more compact and lightweight version of its flagship device. The new player, certified for children aged 1 and older, is compatible with all existing Tonies and offers the same screen-free, child-operated listening experience at a lower price point. Pre-orders in North America began today through tonies.com and walmart.com, with in-store availability at Walmart starting August 22. The device will launch in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand in fall 2026.
Toniebox Lite represents the first step in tonies' strategy to build an ecosystem of multiple devices, each tailored to different family needs. Complementing the flagship Toniebox 2, which includes features like Tonieplay gaming and a dynamic light ring, the Lite version focuses on delivering the core listening experience in a portable format. Tobias Wann, CEO of tonies, emphasized the company's mission to champion audio as an alternative to passive screen time, stating that the new device opens the door to the tonies world for more families. Ginny McCormick, CXO of tonies, noted that the portability of Toniebox Lite allows families to bring the experience wherever childhood happens, from vacations to visits with grandparents.
The Toniebox Lite is compatible with the entire tonies content library, which includes over 1,500 Tonies and more than 3,500 digital titles from partners such as Disney, Warner Bros., and NBC Universal, as well as tonies Originals. Parents can control playback and set volume limits through the tonies app. The device will also offer a range of colorful covers for personalization and additional cushioning. This launch follows the recent introduction of Toniebox 2 and reflects tonies' accelerated innovation cadence. The company reported EUR 630 million in group revenue for fiscal year 2025, a 31% increase year-over-year, and guides for FY 2026 group revenue above EUR 760 million.
