The Storm Windows Release Live Single 'FIONA' Ahead of Upcoming Album

Paper Garden Records recording artists The Storm Windows have released the first single from their forthcoming live album, titled "FIONA." The song, described as a reflection on lost love and the highway, was recorded live before a sold-out audience at Tank Studio in Burlington, Vermont, on November 1, 2025. The Storm Windows Trio, consisting of Rob Mathews on guitar and vocals, Don Mathews on upright bass and vocals, and Erik Anderson on drums, performed the track.

The single is the band's first release on the PGRoots label of Paper Garden Records and precedes the full live album, scheduled for release on August 21. The album will be available on vinyl for those attending live shows this summer. Upcoming tour dates are listed on the band's website at thestormwindows.com.

The audio for "FIONA" was produced and mixed by Ben Collett and Julia Rangel at Tank Recording Studios, with a video created by Drew Fahle. The single is now available on streaming platforms, including a YouTube link at https://youtu.be/nApRZ9lQKo8 and Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/artist/7a0BeXyNogcKXYI2l3EKqC?si=p8Ik49DZS7qmqW2v0RYz2g.

The Storm Windows, whose name derives from a John Prine song, have been described as "New Americana," blending folk, rock, and jazz elements. The band performs both showcases and bar gigs, with several lined up. This release marks a significant step for the group as they expand their discography with a live recording, capturing the energy of their performances.
