The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, a leading Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant franchise, has announced the expansion of its partnership with GiftAMeal, a community engagement platform that converts guest photos into donations for local food banks. After piloting the program with 10 locations in July 2024, the initiative is now available at over 70 locations across the United States, making GiftAMeal the brand's national philanthropic partner.
Since the partnership began, guests of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill have helped provide more than 20,000 meals to families facing food insecurity. The process is simple: diners scan a QR code in the restaurant, take a photo of their food or drink, and GiftAMeal donates 1.2 pounds of groceries to a local food bank. Guests can amplify their impact by sharing the photo on social media, which can double, triple, or even quadruple the donation.

To celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17, and throughout the month, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is inviting guests to participate. At the end of February, the brand will match the monetary value of the total number of meals donated, as established by each food bank, to contribute an equivalent number of meals.
Participating is straightforward: scan the GiftAMeal QR code posted inside a participating restaurant, take a photo of your food or drink, and share on social media to multiply the donation. The program is available at dine-in locations, excluding cloud kitchens and food trucks, as well as certain locations in the Las Vegas Valley.
