Telomir Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: TELO) has announced the peer-reviewed publication of preclinical data for its lead candidate, Telomir-Zn, demonstrating its potential to treat triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and prostate cancer. However, MDA-MB-231 xenografts did not respond, underscoring tumor-specific differences in sensitivity that could inform patient selection in future trials.
These findings provide the scientific foundation for advancing Telomir-Zn into a planned Phase 1/2 clinical trial in TNBC under the company's active Investigational New Drug (IND) application.
