Stewart Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning has donated and installed a 40-gallon electric water heater at Hugs for Harry Dog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Lafayette, California. The in-kind contribution supports the rescue's new facility, which opened in January 2026, by providing hot water for a laundry facility and a dog washing station. These additions are critical for maintaining sanitation, cleanliness, and grooming standards for the dogs in care.
Hugs for Harry rescues dogs from abandonment, medical neglect, and overcrowded shelters where euthanasia is a risk. The organization relies on community donations and volunteers to sustain its mission. Before the donation, financial constraints hindered infrastructure improvements needed at the new location. The water heater reduces ongoing operational costs and enhances the health and wellbeing of the animals.
