SS Innovations Reports 79% Surge in Robotic Procedures, Eyes FDA and CE Approvals

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII) announced a significant expansion in the utilization and global footprint of its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, with cumulative procedures reaching 14,103 as of Sept. 8, 2026—a 79% increase from 7,885 at the end of 2025. The installed base of systems grew 42% to 238 units, up from 168, reflecting accelerating adoption across multiple markets.

The SSi Mantra is now deployed in 12 countries, with approximately 1,500 physicians trained on the platform. The system has been used for more than 170 types of surgical procedures, underscoring its versatility. Recent international milestones include the launch of robotic cardiac surgery in Colombia, the first installation of an SSi Mantra in Sri Lanka, and the first telesurgery within the Philippines. These developments highlight the company's strategy to make robotic surgery affordable and accessible to a broader global population.

In addition to its general surgery applications, SS Innovations reported 258 cumulative pediatric robotic surgeries and 188 robotic telesurgeries as of Aug. 31. Notably, a telesurgery was performed over a distance of more than 13,600 miles between Colombia and India. In August, five SSi Mantra systems were used to complete 50 robotic general surgery procedures in a single day in India, demonstrating the system's efficiency and reliability in high-volume settings.

Looking ahead, SS Innovations expects the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to complete its review of the SSi Mantra 510(k) premarket notification by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The company also believes it can obtain European Union CE marking certification by year-end 2026. These regulatory milestones are critical for unlocking access to the U.S. and European markets, which represent a substantial portion of the global surgical robotics market. Success in these regions could significantly accelerate revenue growth and further validate the technology's clinical and commercial viability.

The company's focus on affordability and accessibility differentiates it in a market often dominated by expensive systems. By offering a cost-effective alternative, SS Innovations aims to penetrate emerging markets where robotic surgery has been historically underutilized. The growing installed base and procedure volumes suggest that its strategy is gaining traction. For investors, the upcoming regulatory decisions are key catalysts that could drive the next phase of growth. The full report can be viewed at https://ibn.fm/DJILj.
