SNAH Healthcare has announced the official launch of a new partnership with the City of West Haven, Connecticut, to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and senior center shuttle services. The program, awarded through a competitive bidding process, aims to build a transportation model centered on trust, safety, and efficiency for government-funded services.
The partnership reinforces SNAH Healthcare's mission to deliver reliable, dignified, and technologically advanced transportation solutions for vulnerable populations. Daily shuttles will transport residents to the West Haven Senior Center and designated grocery shopping locations, utilizing existing schedules for the community.
What distinguishes SNAH from other NEMT providers is its commitment to safety, integrity, transparency, and fraud prevention—critical components of public sector partnerships. Every SNAH vehicle serving West Haven will be equipped with front and back-facing cameras to create a visual record of each trip, enhancing passenger and driver safety. Real-time GPS tracking will ensure transparency, allowing the city to monitor service delivery, route compliance, timeliness, and resource utilization.
A key feature of the service is door-to-door assistance for seniors with mobility challenges. Trained drivers provide hands-on help from the home to the shuttle seat and back, combining a person-centered approach with a technological foundation for compassionate and accountable service.
Fraud prevention is a significant concern for government agencies, and SNAH has built its operational model to reduce fraud. By providing full visibility into every step of the trip continuum, the company aims to eliminate fraudulent billing and “ghost rides,” offering partners peace of mind and a tangible return on investment through reduced costs.
“We acknowledge and understand that municipalities have a fiduciary obligation to their taxpayers,” said Paulina Wierzbicka, President of SNAH Healthcare. “Our technology and processes are intended to enhance municipalities' control and verification processes, and therefore, will not provide a 'black box' environment for our partners. We will provide our partners with performance reports, but will also provide them with the tools to monitor that performance on their own.”
The successful launch in West Haven reflects the experience of SNAH's executive team in managing publicly funded transportation and home-care programs. As the company pursues other bid opportunities nationwide, it invites municipalities and vendor partners to explore partnerships. SNAH offers secure, transparent, future-proof solutions that prioritize community needs while protecting taxpayer investments. For more information, visit the SNAH Healthcare website.
