SMT Scharf AG, a global leader in bespoke transport solutions and logistics systems for underground mining, is advancing its Strategy 2026 through new exclusive cooperation agreements with the CFH Group. The company announced on March 19, 2026, that it has entered into an exclusive dealer agreement with CFH Group for the Kazakhstan and South Africa markets. Under the agreement, CFH Group will serve as the exclusive dealer for all SMT Scharf Group products in Kazakhstan via CFT Kazakhstan T.O.O., while SMT Scharf will serve as the exclusive dealer for all CFH Group products in South Africa via its subsidiary SMT Scharf Africa (Pty.) Ltd.
The cooperation aims to strengthen the local footprint in key mining regions and leverage synergies within the Group. CFH Group is a globally active provider of air technology and environmental solutions for the mining and tunneling industries. The agreement lays the groundwork to integrate products available across the Group and is intended to enhance efficiency and diversification. This move is part of SMT Scharf's broader Strategy 2026, which focuses on optimizing global supply chain efficiency, integrating group locations, and diversifying the product portfolio in electromobility and intelligent transport solutions to meet increasing low-emission demand.
Longjiao Wang, CEO of SMT Scharf AG, stated: "With the Strategy 2026, we aim to enable SMT Scharf to better serve the demand for low-emission, high-quality transport solutions in underground mining and tunnel logistics. Our exclusive cooperation with CFH Group for the Kazakh and South African market represents an important step in driving our expansion into relevant mining markets worldwide."
SMT Scharf continues to develop its product portfolio, particularly with light electric vehicles (LEVs) and battery-powered monorails, and has previously cooperated with two Chinese suppliers in the LEV field. The existing key markets such as China and Poland remain central, and the company is exploring further expansion opportunities. The SMT Scharf Group operates its own subsidiaries in seven countries and has agents worldwide. More information about the company and its Strategy 2026 can be found at www.smtscharf.com.
