The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will open seven annual lifestyle and licensing mega events next week, running from April 27 to 30. The exhibitions include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, and Fashion InStyle at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC); the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo; and the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference at HKCEC. The events aim to leverage Hong Kong’s connectivity between the Chinese mainland and international markets, reinforcing its role as a regional creative hub and aligning with the national 15th Five-Year Plan.
HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo stated that the seven mega exhibitions and conference are expected to attract some 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including first-time participants from Finland, Germany, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan. New pavilions include Xinjiang and Wuhan at Home InStyle, and Shanxi, Jilin, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and Zhejiang at the Gifts & Premium Fair. The Zhejiang pavilion, organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, brings together 50 local enterprises.
This year, the fairs collectively feature over 820 green exhibitors and approximately 80 exhibitors showcasing innovative materials spanning houseware, home textiles, fashion, printing, and packaging. A key highlight is the debut of the Reimagine themed floor at HKCEC Hall 5, which seamlessly connects the innovative, design, and cultural creative elements of the Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle. The floor includes new zones such as the Selection of ASEAN, The Bespoke Hub, the Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards, the Cultural and Creative Avenue, and the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion.
Home InStyle introduces innovative materials applied to the homeware and home textiles market for the first time, with the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission. Fashion InStyle features the NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, with the Philippines as its featured partner, bringing over 25 Philippine exhibitors. The zone showcases materials from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Indonesia, Thailand, and Nordic countries such as Iceland, Finland, and Sweden. Han Chong, founder of Self-Portrait, returns as project ambassador, leading six local designer brands in cross-disciplinary design projects.
The Printing & Packaging Fair introduces smart packaging and innovative materials, with a focus on RFID and anti-counterfeiting technologies, while DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong targets premium printing and packaging for high-end goods. The Hong Kong International Licensing Show, now in its 23rd edition, brings together over 600 brands and IPs, including Bandai Namco, Doraemon, and LINE FRIENDS. A new IP and e-Commerce Support Services Zone, aligned with the HKSAR Government’s policy to enhance cross-border e-commerce competitiveness, gathers e-commerce platforms, KOLs, and marketing firms to help brands expand online.
The Asian Licensing Conference, themed “Connecting Creativity, Unlocking Licensing Power,” will feature sessions on global licensing trends, the emotional economy, sports licensing, and VTubers. The events adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, with AI-driven tools like Click2Match and Scan2Match to boost sourcing efficiency. A new SmartBot service will help buyers search for products and exhibitors and generate personalized visit routes on-site.
