The Nordex Group has received orders from EFG Energy Farming Group to supply and install twelve wind turbines across several citizen wind projects in Lower Saxony, Germany. These projects, collectively totaling approximately 82 MW, underscore a significant step in regional renewable energy development. The contracts include Premium Service agreements spanning 20 years, ensuring long-term operational reliability.
The 'Erlte-Endel' project in Vechta district will feature five N175/6.X turbines mounted on hybrid towers with a hub height of 179 meters. Meanwhile, the 'Bad Essen' project cluster in Osnabrück district will comprise seven turbines: five N175/6.X units on 179-meter towers and two N163/6.X turbines with a hub height of 164 meters. This cluster includes four separate wind farms: Langewiesen-Nord, Langewiesen-Süd, Rabber Wiesen, and the Wimmerbruch repowering project.
Construction is set to begin at the end of 2026, with turbine installation planned for 2027 and commissioning expected in spring 2028. The projects are developed by EFG Energy Farming Group, which emphasizes collaboration with local landowners and regional citizen wind companies.
