The Nordex Group has received an order from Swedish renewable energy company OX2 to supply and install 11 N175/6.X turbines for the Urleasca wind farm in Romania. The contract, with a total installed capacity of 77 MW, also includes a 35-year Premium Service agreement. This order follows a period of significant activity for Nordex in Romania, where the company has contracted more than 500 MW in recent months.
The Urleasca wind farm will be located near the village of Urleasca in Brăila County, approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Bucharest in southeastern Romania. The project holds a long-term Contract-for-Difference (CfD) with the Romanian State, providing revenue certainty and underscoring the country's commitment to renewable energy development.
In parallel with the turbine supply contract, OX2 has sold the ready-to-build wind farm to Norwegian renewable energy solutions provider Scatec ASA. OX2 will oversee the entire construction phase, which is scheduled to commence in Q3 2026, with commissioning planned for the second half of 2028. This transaction highlights the growing interest of international investors in Romania's wind energy market.

The long-term service agreement ensures optimal performance and reliability over the project's lifetime.
