ChillyRoom Game's Independent Studio Crit Team has announced that a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place, its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter, is now available on Steam as of June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest. The demo provides access to the game's early progression and supports both solo play and 1–4 player online co-op, with partial progression data carrying over into the full release. The demo is available in English, Japanese, and Chinese.
In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the U.R.C. (Unknown Research Consortium), a mysterious organization dedicated to investigating supernatural anomalies erased from known history. Dispatched into fragmented dimensions, players must survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out. The game emphasizes survival, exploration, and cooperation, as players explore abandoned military outposts, research facilities, and other eerie locations while scavenging for weapons, medicine, and equipment.
The game features a flexible weapon customization system where corrupted technology allows unconventional combinations, such as attaching a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or mounting a Victorian brass scope on modern military hardware. Players can also grow stronger through multiple progression paths, improving physical attributes and weapon proficiencies as they survive more missions. Resources recovered during expeditions can be used to build and upgrade the player's Safehouse, providing a foundation for future survival.
Multiplayer co-op allows up to four players to team up as U.R.C. agents, covering more ground and taking on dangerous objectives together.
