Nexum Group Appoints Sebastian Holl as CFO to Drive Capital Markets Strategy

Nexum Group AG, a high-growth residential real estate developer based in Munich, has announced the appointment of Sebastian Holl as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of its Management Board. Holl will oversee the company's finance function, financing activities, and capital markets strategy, joining CEO Philipp von Erffa and Chief People & Legal Officer Claudia Vucak on the board. This strategic hire underscores Nexum's ambition to accelerate its growth trajectory and enhance its access to institutional capital.

Holl brings three decades of experience in the financial and capital markets sector. His career includes senior roles at prominent U.S. investment banks such as Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs, as well as at Baader Bank, where he served as Head of Corporate Broking. In that capacity, he supported numerous companies in connecting with international institutional investors. Having conducted more than 1,000 roadshows and advised on transactions exceeding EUR 1 billion in total value, Holl has cultivated an extensive network among small- and mid-cap investors across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Dr. Johannes von Bismarck, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Nexum Group AG, commented on the appointment: “With Sebastian Holl, we are gaining a proven corporate finance and capital markets expert with a first-class investor network. He brings not only more than 30 years of experience in international capital markets, but also a strong track record in supporting growth companies on their path to institutional investors and family offices. His appointment marks an important milestone for the planned scaling of Nexum Group and supplements a Management Board that is exceptionally well positioned in both breadth and depth to drive the Company’s next phase of growth with focus and determination.”

Sebastian Holl said: “Nexum Group addresses two key challenges in the residential real estate market: project financing and the creation of an attractive product for both investors and home seekers. The business model is consistently designed around a reduced risk profile, with a focus on projects with advanced building rights, short project durations, and efficient capital rotation. This leads to faster turnover, stronger cash flows, and, as a result, structurally greater attractiveness for all capital partners. I look forward to shaping the next chapter of this growth story together with the team.”

The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Nexum Group, which focuses on acquiring residential development projects in Germany’s top-7 cities that already have building permits or are eligible for approval in the near term. By utilizing established general contractors and its own sales networks, the company mitigates development risks, shortens project durations to 15-30 months, and reduces tied-up capital. This model positions Nexum as a distinct category of project developer, designed for rapid implementation, capital turnover, and scalability, supported by data-driven systems.

With a current deal pipeline exceeding EUR 1 billion in development volume, Nexum Group is poised for significant growth. Holl's expertise in capital markets and investor relations is expected to be instrumental in securing the financing needed to expand its portfolio. The company's strategic focus on efficient capital rotation and reduced risk profile makes it an attractive opportunity for institutional investors and family offices, a segment Holl is well-connected with. This appointment signals Nexum's commitment to strengthening its financial foundation and pursuing ambitious growth plans, reinforcing its position in the competitive German real estate market.
