Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) announced that drill mobilization for its 2026 exploration program at the Murdock Mountain Project in Nevada is complete, with drilling set to commence following site preparation by contractor FTE Drilling. The company also appointed Stantec Consulting Inc. as its NEPA environmental consultant to support permitting and regulatory engagement. Additionally, the company approved the issuance of 250,000 stock options to a consultant at an exercise price of $0.24 per share.
The Murdock Mountain Project is located in northeast Nevada and hosts what the company believes to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate deposit in North America. The property features a sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed that is 6.6 kilometers long, with additional applications extending the potential strike length to over 30 kilometers. The project is situated near the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and close to a rail head to California, providing logistical advantages.
The appointment of Stantec Consulting Inc. marks a key step in advancing the project through the environmental review process required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This engagement is expected to facilitate permitting and regulatory interactions as the company progresses toward potential development. The drill program aims to further delineate the phosphate resource and assess its economic viability.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior exploration company focused on organic sedimentary phosphate. The company’s flagship asset is the Murdock Mountain project, which it considers a strategic domestic source of phosphate for agricultural and industrial applications. The completion of drill mobilization and the engagement of Stantec underscore the company’s commitment to advancing the project in a responsible manner.
