The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), one of the nation's most celebrated art museums, has joined the Boston CityPASS program, offering travelers easy and cost-effective access to leading cultural attractions. The partnership, announced in March, allows CityPASS ticket holders to explore the MFA's extensive collections alongside three other top Boston attractions using a single discounted mobile ticket.
Founded in 1870, the MFA houses more than half a million works spanning cultures and centuries. Highlights include Pierre-Auguste Renoir's Dance at Bougival, John Singleton Copley's Watson and the Shark, and John Singer Sargent's The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit. The museum's Ancient Egyptian collection features monumental works such as the Statue of Menkaura and Queen Lady Sennuwy, as well as reconstructed tomb chapels from Giza. Visitors can also explore extensive Japanese holdings, including ukiyo-e prints, Buddhist sculpture, and decorative arts. Rotating exhibitions offer fresh perspectives on global artistic traditions. The MFA also offers family-friendly programs, including studio classes, drop-in artmaking, gallery explorations, and community celebrations, with interactive tools to help young visitors connect with the collection.
