The wait is nearly over for Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne residents seeking a nearby women's contemporary boutique. Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will hold its grand opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Lemon Creek Ranch development, marking the culmination of a year of work for owner Kelli Hull. The store transforms a former concrete shell into a fully stocked boutique featuring national designer brands, addressing Hull's own frustration as a shopper who faced a 45-minute drive to San Antonio for similar merchandise.
'I kept hearing from other women that they had the same frustrations I did,' Hull said. 'On Thursday, that changes. We can't wait to open the doors and finally show everyone what we've built.'
The grand opening festivities begin with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by the doors opening to the public at 10 a.m. Shoppers will explore the roughly 1,200-square-foot boutique, which carries an assortment curated by Hull during buying trips to New York City showrooms. The inventory includes Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch staples like Paige denim and FRAME, alongside dresses from Milly, Shoshanna, and Marie Oliver. Aviator Nation, a Malibu-based sweat-and-swimwear label, has generated excitement among younger shoppers. The opening timing coincides with the new school year.
Throughout the grand opening weekend (Thursday-Saturday), guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from 'Kelli's Favorite Things,' featuring local partners such as Heights Wellness, Golden Salon, Rooted Strength Fitness, and Glossy Nail Bar. The first 100 purchases on opening day will receive a special gift.
Hull is already planning for the future, noting the boutique is shopping for the 2027 season and will introduce several new brands in January, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and Sunshine Tienda, a label based in New Braunfels. 'If you want to wear a basic top, a pair of denim and sneakers during the day, but then you have an event in the evening and you need to put on a cocktail dress, we're your one-stop shop to do all of that,' Hull said.
Several trunk shows are planned for the grand opening weekend, offering exclusive access to expanded collections. For Hull, the opening also introduces a shopping experience centered on service. 'People are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service, not only in retail but in industries at large,' she said. 'We want every single person who comes in to feel a very elevated, experiential shopping experience.' This includes personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments for busy customers.
'It is my solemn vow that I'll never let anyone leave Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch in something that doesn't look phenomenal on them,' Hull added. 'When you look good, you feel good, and that projects out.'
The boutique is one of the few veteran-owned Monkee's locations in the country. 'Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do for years to come,' Hull said. The location in Lemon Creek Ranch, near Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne, offers easy access off I-10 and parking right out front. 'You can drive right up to the store, park and walk in,' she said. 'Lemon Creek Ranch is great where it's at now, but it's only going to continue to get better.'
