MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) is set to showcase its pioneering Natural Hydrogen program at the IMAGE ’26 conference in Houston on August 19. President and Director Chad Levesque will deliver a presentation detailing the company’s progress at the Lawson Complex in south-central Saskatchewan, where Canada’s first confirmed Natural Hydrogen system has been identified. The presentation will also cover the ongoing drilling efforts aimed at delineating what MAX Power describes as the world’s first large-scale commercial discovery of a new primary energy source.

The Lawson Complex is currently undergoing a multi-well commercial validation program designed to assess the system’s scale, continuity, reservoir characteristics, and commercial viability. The initial well in this program, Lawson 2, encountered approximately 860 meters of continuous elevated Natural Hydrogen readings, including the highest readings recorded to date at the site. This well also provided evidence of an enhanced fracture system within the Precambrian basement complex, which is critical for understanding the reservoir’s potential. Drilling has since advanced to Lawson 3, positioned to provide a third data point as MAX Power works to better understand the deposit’s potential volume.

The significance of this project extends beyond the company’s immediate exploration efforts. Natural Hydrogen, also known as white or gold hydrogen, is a clean energy source that occurs naturally in the subsurface. Unlike traditional hydrogen production methods, which often rely on fossil fuels or electrolysis, natural hydrogen could offer a low-carbon alternative that is directly extracted from the earth. If commercially viable, the Lawson discovery could represent a paradigm shift in the energy sector, providing a new, primary energy source that aligns with global decarbonization goals.

MAX Power has established a dominant position in the region, holding approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits across Saskatchewan, covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. This extensive land position underscores the company’s commitment to leading the charge in this emerging field. In addition to its Natural Hydrogen projects, MAX Power also maintains a portfolio of critical mineral properties, including the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, which saw a diamond drilling discovery in 2024.
