MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has reported that its ongoing commercial validation drilling at the Lawson Complex in south-central Saskatchewan continues to yield promising results, expanding the footprint of what is considered Canada's first confirmed subsurface Natural Hydrogen system. The company recently completed the Lawson 3 well, which triangulated a large Natural Hydrogen system, while drilling at Lawson 4, located more than two kilometers west, has further broadened the system's known extent.
At Lawson 4, the drill hole intersected what the company interprets as a significant deep crustal fault or conduit at a depth of 2,310.5 meters. This intersection produced the highest Natural Hydrogen readings recorded at Lawson to date, with readings remaining elevated as drilling progresses through a highly fractured Precambrian basement complex. These findings underscore the potential for substantial accumulations of Natural Hydrogen, a zero-carbon energy source that could play a pivotal role in the global transition to cleaner energy.
In response to these encouraging results, MAX Power is preparing to drill Lawson 5, its largest step-out hole yet, targeting the edge of the 'Salt Wall' approximately 27 to 31 kilometers northeast of the current drilling area. This step-out represents a significant expansion of the exploration footprint and could significantly increase the known resource potential.
Additionally, the company has added eight new Natural Hydrogen permit parcels covering approximately 470,000 acres, bringing its total permitted land position in Saskatchewan to approximately 2.5 million acres. This dominant district-scale land position underscores MAX Power's commitment to exploring for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen across prime exploration ground.
