The Martial Arts History Museum will celebrate the grand opening of its new permanent Armenian Exhibit this Saturday, June 27, at 4:00 PM at its Glendale location. The event, sponsored in part by US Armenia, includes a live Armenian martial arts demonstration, speeches from City of Glendale dignitaries, and light refreshments.
Since relocating to Glendale two years ago, the museum has expanded its focus beyond Asian martial arts to include a global perspective. Rather than emphasizing physical combat, the museum explores the art, history, culture, and traditions behind martial arts disciplines. The new permanent exhibit underscores this commitment to cultural diversity and community outreach.
Museum founder Michael Matsuda noted that the exhibit represents an exciting chapter for the institution, further enriching its celebration of global cultures. The museum, established in 1999, is located at 201 N. Brand Blvd., B100, Glendale, CA 91203. The event is free and open to the public.
