A comprehensive report on lithium investment projects in Latin America, released by Vostock Capital, details key initiatives driving sustainability and growth in the sector. The report, titled “Lithium projects Latin America,” was prepared ahead of the 7th International Congress Lithium Latin America, scheduled for June 4–5, 2026, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The congress will bring together heads of leading lithium operators to discuss project development amid current economic realities.
Among the highlighted projects is the expansion of the Fénix Project, now part of Arcadium Lithium, with a planned investment of $1.4 billion. The expansion aims to increase production from 18,000 to 40,000 tons of lithium carbonate annually, pending environmental assessments. Another significant project is the Rio Tinto Rincon Project, valued at approximately $2.5 billion, which will produce lithium from salt brines and is part of Argentina’s strategy to boost lithium output.
Additionally, the Kachi Project by Lake Resources, located in Catamarca, Argentina, involves a planned investment of $1.1 billion and is forecast to produce an average of 25,500 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent annually. The report is based on data from open sources, including media, and Vostock Capital disclaims responsibility for reliance on the information.
The organizers encourage interested parties to register for the congress and access the full report. Bronze sponsors include Gorman-Rupp Pumps and Amalgamated Research. The latest news and updates on Vostock Capital are available in the company’s newsroom.
