LataMed AI Corp. (OTC: LMED) announced today that its Venezuelan subsidiary, LATAMEDAI VE, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with FARMASER, a Venezuelan pharmacy chain, to develop a customized artificial intelligence and automation platform. The collaboration aims to streamline FARMASER's current pharmacy operations and support its planned expansion, which includes up to 15 new locations in addition to its three existing pharmacies.
Under the MOU, the parties will jointly define technical and operational requirements, adapt software to FARMASER's pharmacy workflows, and establish a phased development and testing process. A key component of the proposed platform is the potential integration of LataMed AI's CardioAI, PulmoAI, and NeuroAI models across all pharmacy locations. These AI-supported platforms are designed to assist healthcare professionals in evaluating cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neurological health information, though they remain subject to continued development, testing, and regulatory approvals. The integration would also encompass e-commerce, prescription management, customer service, inventory planning, and business analytics functions.
Dr. Kevin Rodan Levy, CEO of LataMed AI Corp., emphasized the strategic importance of pharmacies in the healthcare ecosystem. "Pharmacies play a central role in connecting patients with medications, healthcare products, and related services. Our objective is to work with FARMASER to develop a platform that supports its current operations and planned expansion while evaluating the integration of our AI-supported healthcare technologies across its pharmacy network."
The proposed platform represents an enterprise application of LataMed's technology beyond its patient-facing telemedicine services. By supporting pharmacy operations and digital commerce, LataMed aims to create technology infrastructure that could be adapted for other healthcare organizations throughout Latin America. The parties are also evaluating an annual software licensing or subscription model for any commercial implementation, though final terms remain subject to successful development, testing, and definitive agreements.
Management believes this collaboration aligns with LataMed AI's broader strategy of developing an integrated healthcare ecosystem that connects patients, healthcare professionals, pharmacies, insurers, and payment providers. However, the MOU does not guarantee successful completion or commercial deployment of the platform, integration of AI technologies, execution of a licensing agreement, or generation of revenue.
