Laconiko, the award-winning producer of single-origin, high phenolic extra virgin olive oils, has announced the arrival of its new harvest Koroneiki Estate Olive Oils. Pressed from olives grown on the southern coastline of Lakonia, Greece, these oils are now available for purchase at laconiko.com, at the company's Manassas, VA showroom, and through select specialty retailers nationwide.
The new harvest represents the culmination of careful cultivation, precise harvest timing, and uncompromising attention to detail. "Green harvested olive fruit tells a story of our land," shares Diamantis Pierrakos, Producer and Co-Owner of Laconiko. "The weather conditions created a challenging harvest year for much of Greece, but we never compromise on quality. We pick at the exact right moment, crush immediately, and obsess over quality so what ends up on your table is something we can be truly proud of."
Produced from early-harvested green Koroneiki olives and first cold-pressed within hours of picking, this year's olive oil offers vibrant, fresh, and well-balanced flavors. Pierrakos notes, "This year's harvest has delicious green fruit notes and is well-balanced which is a perfect complement for everyday cooking, dressings, marinades, and finishing. These are truly the best every day and finishing olive oils." This is the same olive oil that earned Laconiko the "Best of Show Award" at the prestigious Athena International olive oil competition, recognized as the "Best Olive Oil from Greece" and "Best Koroneiki Internationally."
Laconiko's olive oils are naturally high in polyphenols and oleocanthal, delivering robust flavor alongside antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. The Laconiko Estate Olive Oil, priced at $29.95 for a 500 ml bottle, features fresh green fruit aroma with notes of freshly cut grass and ripe banana, finishing with a pleasant peppery note. The Laconiko Olio Nuovo, at $39.95 for a 500 ml bottle, offers a bolder green fruit aroma with fresh cut greens, green tomato, and arugula notes, and a persistent peppery finish, ideal as a finishing oil.
In addition to the new harvest, Laconiko has announced that its indoor and outdoor spaces are now available for private events, including dining, corporate gatherings, receptions, and micro-weddings. The company also hosts public events, with more information available at Laconiko Events.
Laconiko is a fourth-generation family business producing award-winning extra virgin olive oils with an emphasis on health-promoting properties.
