King Global Ventures Inc. (CSE: KING) (OTCQB: KGLDF) (FSE: 5LM1) is advancing its exploration program at the Black Canyon/Silver Cord project near Cleator, Arizona, as U.S. federal policy increasingly emphasizes rebuilding domestic mining workforce capacity and securing critical mineral supply chains. The company is currently executing a 14,000-foot diamond drill program at the Iron Horse target, designed to test priority geophysical anomalies for potential volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization within the Lower Spud Mountain Formation.
Recent drilling, geological mapping and XRF analysis have identified prospective volcanic stratigraphy, hydrothermal alteration, feeder-style geochemical responses and multiple marker horizons. Wedge drilling from hole IH-26-03 is being utilized to further test the target at depth, with the aim of better understanding the extent and grade of mineralization.
Previous drilling at the Silver Cord area, completed in December 2025, intersected high-grade polymetallic veins containing silver, gold, lead, zinc and antimony. Notable intercepts included 9 feet grading 619.6 g/t silver, 1.0 g/t gold, 0.6% lead, 1.05% zinc and 375 g/t antimony. These results underscore the project's potential for hosting significant polymetallic mineralization.
The exploration efforts coincide with a favorable policy environment. On Aug. 7, 2026, the White House announced $100 million in funding for 14 U.S. mining schools, part of more than $2 billion in new mining and mining-related investments and over $180 million in mining school and workforce funding. This policy backdrop is seen as supportive for domestic exploration companies targeting strategic minerals such as antimony, which is classified as a critical mineral.
The Black Canyon Project comprises 213 contiguous concessions covering 4,000 acres in Yavapai County, Arizona, and includes 15 former operating mines, such as the past-producing Howard Copper Mine. The property is situated 100 km (62 miles) north of Phoenix and is considered an early-stage exploration opportunity targeting copper-gold-silver-zinc VMS mineralization. The region has a rich history of mining, including operations at Bagdad, Jerome and Cleopatra. The property is located on trend and approximately 13 km (8 miles) northwest of Arizona Metals Corp. (TSX: AMC).
The Howard Copper Mine Property, which covers 78 acres of patented land, was discovered in the early 1920s and saw small-scale production and development focused on high-grade copper. Historical reports indicate the main shaft was sunk to the 900-foot level, but no ore was mined below the 500-foot level.
King Global Ventures is also advancing its Mikwam Gold Property in northeastern Ontario, located along the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone that hosts Detour Gold's Burntbush Property. The Mikwam deposit is hosted within Timiskaming-aged polymictic conglomerate and greywacke units, containing disseminated and vein-hosted gold mineralization associated with quartz-carbonate veins and pyrite.
