Kaufman & Company Unveils Eight Brands to Clarify Its Sprawling Real Estate Platform

Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company founded by Daniel Kaufman, has announced the launch of eight brands that will serve as the public face of its extensive real estate and infrastructure operations. The brands—Haven, Foundry, Trellis, Convivium, Everwell, District, Weekender, and ZeroPoint—organize the company’s work into three categories: Residential, Places, and Infrastructure. This strategic move comes as the platform has grown to ten operating companies, spanning residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure, and venture capital across 24 states.

The new branding initiative addresses a fundamental challenge: as the company expanded, the names on legal documents no longer matched how residents, partners, and cities experienced its projects. A family seeking an attainable home, a nurse looking for an apartment near the hospital, a retiree wanting an active community, and a hyperscale tenant needing power and capacity all have distinct needs. The brands provide each audience with a clear answer about what they are getting, before they ever need to know which entity built it. Each brand represents a community or asset class focus, not a separate legal entity, and all are endorsed by Kaufman & Company. The development discipline, balance sheet, and long-term ownership behind every address remain consistent.

“We have been building across almost every asset class at once, and the work deserved names that say what it is,” said Daniel Kaufman, Founder and CEO. “A Haven community, a Foundry community and a ZeroPoint campus solve very different problems. Our operating companies still do the building. The brands tell residents, partners and cities what they can count on from us, wherever we show up.”

The Residential category includes Haven, which focuses on attainable housing with the belief that it is an infrastructure problem, not a charity problem; Foundry, which builds workforce housing near employment centers and transit; Trellis, the scalable middle market brand offering townhomes, cottages, and build-to-rent neighborhoods; Convivium, a vertically integrated co-living and co-working platform; and Everwell, an active adult and independent living brand. The Places category features District, which creates mixed-use destinations, and Weekender, a design-driven hospitality brand. The Infrastructure category is represented by ZeroPoint, the institutional brand for AI infrastructure, including data centers and power systems.

The rollout will continue over the next twelve months, with every asset in the current portfolio and future pipeline rebranded under the appropriate brand. This includes signage, websites, marketing materials, and resident-facing communications. Several pipeline communities have already transitioned, such as Haven at Shelburne, Foundry’s Falls Landing, Trellis’s Greenview Residences, and Everwell at Harpeth Reserve. New opportunities will launch under a brand from day one. The ten operating companies remain the builders and operators behind every brand, and existing partners, lenders, and municipal relationships continue unchanged.

“The rollout is going to take a year because we want to get it right, one community at a time,” Kaufman said. “By this time next year, anyone who drives past one of our properties, visits one of our sites or partners with us on a deal should be able to tell exactly what we built and who we built it for.” This rebranding is significant because it signals a maturation of Kaufman & Company’s platform, aiming to enhance transparency and customer recognition in a complex real estate landscape. By clearly delineating its offerings, the company positions itself to better serve diverse demographics and solidify its identity as a multi-faceted developer and operator.
