SARASOTA, FL — Hale Law has launched its 2026 Hale Helps™ Teacher of the Year campaign, accepting nominations from March 1 through March 29, 2026, for K-12 educators in Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. The winning teacher will receive a free cruise for two, provided as a $1,000 credit through Expedia Cruises of Sarasota.
The award is part of Hale Law's broader Hale Helps™ community initiative, which also includes an annual scholarship program and a back-to-school backpack giveaway. The Teacher of the Year campaign gives parents, students, fellow educators, and community members a direct way to recognize teachers who make a lasting impact in their classrooms and schools.
To nominate a teacher, visit halelaw.com and complete the online form with the nominator's name and email, relationship to the teacher, teacher's name, school name, school county (Sarasota, Manatee, or Charlotte), and an optional personal story. Only one nomination per person is allowed. The nomination period ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 29, 2026.
The five eligible teachers with the highest number of verified nominations will advance to the finalist round, announced on April 7. Public voting will occur online from April 7 through April 26, and the 2026 Hale Helps™ Teacher of the Year will be announced on April 28.
Teachers across these three counties invest time, energy, and care into shaping students' lives daily. This award offers the community an opportunity to recognize that dedication meaningfully. If a teacher has made a lasting difference, submitting a nomination is a simple but powerful way to acknowledge their impact.
The winner receives a free cruise for two, including port taxes, fees, and prepaid gratuities, courtesy of Expedia Cruises of Sarasota.
Now in its third year, the Hale Helps™ Teacher of the Year award continues to honor outstanding local educators. The program is part of Hale Law's commitment to supporting students, families, and educators throughout Southwest Florida.
