Greenland Mines (NASDAQ: GRML) has issued a shareholder letter from President Dr. Bo Moller Stensgaard detailing key achievements since the company's rebranding in March, including the recent closing of the Sarfartoq Neodymium-Praseodymium (Nd-Pr) Rare Earths Project acquisition on September 1. The company also provided updates on its Skaergaard palladium-gold-platinum project, underscoring its commitment to building a multi-asset platform in the critical minerals sector.

The Sarfartoq project, located in southwest Greenland, is now under Greenland Mines' ownership. An independent Initial Assessment reported a high-case pre-tax net present value (NPV) of approximately $2.05 billion with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 118.6%, based on Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources. The updated resource estimate includes 6.9 million tonnes of Indicated resources at 1.60% Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) and 5.3 million tonnes of Inferred resources at 0.96% TREO. This acquisition positions Greenland Mines as a potential significant supplier of Nd-Pr, critical components for permanent magnets used in electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Strategic shareholder Neo Performance Materials holds offtake rights for up to 60% of future Sarfartoq production, providing a clear market pathway. Neo Performance Materials is a leader in rare earth processing, which could enhance Greenland Mines' vertical integration.

At the Skaergaard project in southeast Greenland, the company highlighted its July 2026 S-K 1300 Technical Report Summary, which showed a 36% increase in Indicated palladium-equivalent (PdEq) grade and a 31% increase in contained Indicated PdEq ounces compared to the 2022 estimate. This upgrade underscores the project's growing value and strategic importance, given the rising demand for palladium in catalytic converters and electronics.

Greenland Mines is conducting a 2026 field program at Skaergaard, including drilling, bulk sampling, geotechnical work, and environmental baseline studies. Bulk material will be sent to GTK Mintec in Finland for metallurgical and processing flowsheet testing, a crucial step toward feasibility. The company’s remaining 2026 milestones include advancing Sarfartoq toward infill drilling and a Pre-Feasibility Study, progressing Skaergaard toward an Initial Assessment of a mining scenario, and developing its broader North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor strategy. This corridor aims to link Greenlandic resources with allied downstream jurisdictions and industrial infrastructure, potentially reducing reliance on China for critical minerals.
