G Mining Ventures Shareholders Approve All AGM Proposals; Jason Neal Appointed Chairman

G Mining Ventures Corp. (TSX: GMIN) (OTCQX: GMINF) announced that shareholders approved all resolutions presented at its annual general and special meeting held on June 21, 2024. The approved items included the reappointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as auditor, the election of 10 directors, approval of all unallocated awards under the company’s omnibus equity incentive plan, and a non-binding advisory vote supporting executive compensation. This broad approval reflects shareholder confidence in the company's strategic direction and governance.

Following the meeting, the board appointed Jason Neal as chairman, succeeding Louis Gignac Sr., who retired after serving as chairman since the company’s founding. Neal, who has served as G Mining Ventures’ lead director since 2020, brings approximately 30 years of mining industry experience. He currently serves as managing director and CEO of Deterra Royalties Limited, a position he has held since 2017. His appointment is seen as a move to ensure continuity as the company transitions from development to production. President and CEO Louis-Pierre Gignac stated that Neal’s appointment reflects the experience, judgment, and continuity he brings as the company advances following construction of the Tocantinzinho mine and development of the Oko West project.

The Tocantinzinho gold mine in Brazil is on track for commercial production, expected in the second half of 2024. This project, combined with the Oko West project in Guyana, positions G Mining Ventures to become the next mid-tier precious metals producer. The company’s strategy leverages strong access to capital and proven development expertise to capitalize on the value uplift from successful mine development. The shareholder approval of the omnibus equity incentive plan allows the company to continue attracting and retaining key talent essential for executing these projects.
