The Fulcrum Group, a managed IT services provider serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has announced a partnership with CyberQP, a developer of cybersecurity and automation solutions for managed service providers. The collaboration aims to strengthen Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance and protect IT systems used by public safety and municipal clients.
Through the partnership, The Fulcrum Group will deploy CyberQP's QGuard and QDesk solutions to automate password management and access controls. These tools address service account vulnerabilities, which the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report identifies as a common attack vector due to weak or unmanaged credentials. The solutions provide automated password rotation, real-time auditing, and stronger protection against insider and external threats.
“CJIS compliance isn't just about checking a box—it’s about delivering real-world security that stands up to today’s threats,” said Mateo Barraza, CEO of CyberQP. “Our platform empowers IT providers like Fulcrum to deliver secure, efficient service while giving public safety organizations the protection they deserve.”
With the release of CJIS Security Policy version 6.0, public safety organizations face new requirements to improve IT security. Steve Meek, CEO of The Fulcrum Group, noted, “By combining our STARpower IT framework with CyberQP’s automation tools, we’re not just meeting those requirements—we’re improving protection for service accounts and accelerating response times for sensitive requests.”
The partnership also enables more secure IT support workflows, including identity-verified processes for critical access requests such as password resets for field personnel and patrol units. This ensures that only authorized individuals can access sensitive systems, reducing the risk of breaches.
“Public safety organizations depend on reliable, compliant technology to protect our communities,” Meek added. “This partnership helps them meet CJIS requirements while making secure access simpler and faster—without sacrificing protection.”
The Fulcrum Group, based in Keller, Texas, has served healthcare, manufacturing, local government, and nonprofit clients for over 20 years. CyberQP offers Privileged Access Management and End-User Access Management solutions, backed by SOC 2 Type 2 certification. More information about CyberQP is available at www.cyberqp.com.
