Engineer Gold Mines Commences 2026 Phase I Exploration at Engineer Gold Project

Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX-V: EAU | OTC: EGMLF | WKN: A3EEVJ) announced that its 2026 Phase I exploration program is underway on its 100% owned Engineer Gold Project, located 30 kilometres southwest of Atlin in northwestern British Columbia. The program is designed to expand known high-grade gold mineralization at the historic Engineer Gold Mine and evaluate bulk tonnage targets along strike of previously identified structural corridors.

The Phase I program includes soil and rock sampling at the Engineer Mine area, soil geochemistry, and an in-depth core review and resampling at the TAG property. The company is fully permitted to follow this with a Phase II program consisting of diamond drilling, excavator trenching, and induced polarization geophysical surveys in the Engineer Mine area. Phase II plans will be announced once finalized.

The Engineer Gold Project spans 18,319 hectares covering a 25-kilometre-long contiguous claim block and hosts multiple styles of mineralization, including high-grade epithermal gold-silver veins, polymetallic veins, and structurally controlled bulk tonnage style gold systems. The Phase I program at the Engineer Mine aims to expand mineralization along Shear A and Shear B structures, which have been traced by geophysics and geochemistry for over 3 kilometres south of the past-producing mine.

At the TAG property, located 6 kilometres north of the Engineer Mine, the Phase I work includes a rigorous core review and infill core sampling. From 2006 to 2008, a total of 11,520 metres of diamond drilling in 69 holes was completed at TAG. Recent on-site core re-examination indicated that several drill intercepts crossing the identified mineralized trend were not fully sampled. Once the infill sampling is completed, a detailed model will be produced to target areas for potential expansion of gold mineralization and to facilitate an updated resource estimate.

Additional soil geochemical sampling at TAG will target anomalous gold and silver values uphill from known mineralization, suggesting a potential subparallel second mineralizing structure. The Wann River prospect, located 4 kilometres south of the Engineer Mine, represents an underexplored orogenic gold target associated with the Llewellyn Fault and has returned significant gold and silver values, including a quartz grab sample of 263 g/t gold and 1,350 g/t silver.

The 2026 exploration program is crucial for confirming and expanding the historical resources at the Engineer Gold Mine, which produced approximately 14,263 tonnes grading 39.4 g/t gold and 19.5 g/t silver between 1910 and 1952 (BC Minfile 104M014). A historical inferred mineral resource in 2011 estimated 25,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 19 g/t, but this estimate is not current and requires verification through additional drilling.
