GARDEN GROVE, Calif. – Chef Nourish, a woman-owned, veteran-owned prepared meal delivery company, is extending targeted support to residents affected by the recent chemical incident and evacuations in Garden Grove and surrounding Orange County communities. The company is launching Garden Grove Prepared Meal Support, making ready-to-heat, chef-prepared meals available to displaced individuals, families, seniors, and responders who require special diets.
Chef Nourish is waiving the delivery fee on prepared meal orders for affected households. Meals are paid orders, with delivery-fee relief aimed at easing access for those in temporary housing or hotels. Affected residents can call (323) 909-8933 and mention Garden Grove Prepared Meal Support to coordinate delivery.
"Emergency food is not one-size-fits-all," said Chef LaLa, founder of Chef Nourish. "Being away from home does not pause diabetes, heart disease, kidney concerns, food allergies, celiac disease, autoimmune issues, pregnancy nutrition, sensory food needs, athletic training, cultural food traditions, religious food practices, or the way a family has learned to eat to stay healthy."
The initiative covers 15 special-diet categories, including diabetic-conscious, low-sodium, gluten-free, dairy-free, allergy-aware, senior-friendly, high-protein, macro-balanced, anti-inflammatory, vegetarian, and culturally diverse meals. The meals are designed for hotel stays, temporary housing, and situations where kitchen access is limited.
Chef Nourish serves Los Angeles and Orange County, delivering thousands of meals weekly. The company is physician-led and nutritionist-guided, with culinary leadership from Chef LaLa, a master chef focused on wellness and flavor. The company is also a small business with infrastructure to support community partners during emergencies.
"Some people can eat whatever is available during an emergency, but many cannot," Chef LaLa said. "A senior with heart disease may need low-sodium meals. A person with diabetes may need balance. A child with sensory needs may only tolerate certain foods. A responder working long shifts needs real fuel."
Chef Nourish encourages residents to follow official evacuation orders from agencies including the City of Garden Grove, Orange County, and the American Red Cross. For more information, visit ChefNourish.com or call (323) 909-8933.
