Charbone Reaches Major Milestone With Delivery of Its Electrolyzer to the Sorel-Tracy Site

Charbone Corporation, a vertically integrated industrial gases company focused on clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen, has announced the delivery of its electrolyzer to its flagship site in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. This milestone marks a critical advancement in Phase 1B of the project, bringing the company closer to expanding its clean hydrogen production capacity to meet the growing needs of its industrial clients.

The electrolyzer, which produces hydrogen through water electrolysis, is the technological heart of the next production phase at the Sorel-Tracy site. Its arrival enables Charbone's teams, construction contractors, and technical partners to proceed with positioning, installation, and integration into the existing infrastructure. Civil engineering work and foundation preparation have been planned to accommodate the main production equipment, with activities proceeding according to the company's execution schedule, including component assembly, mechanical and electrical connections, testing, and commissioning.

This development is part of Charbone's modular and phased strategy, which allows the company to add production capacity in line with demand while maintaining a disciplined approach to its development. The company's approach is designed to support scalable growth, enhance operational flexibility, and enable more stable and diversified revenue generation.

Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of Charbone, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, "It is with immense pride that we announce the arrival of our electrolyzer in Sorel-Tracy today. This is far more than the delivery of a piece of equipment, it represents the achievement of a pivotal step in realizing our vision and one of the most important milestones in the Company's history. The risks associated with delivery are now behind us." He added, "Our previously communicated timeline of a fall launch remains on track, and we look forward to providing further updates as we advance through the next stages of commissioning and ramp-up."

Charbone serves customers across sectors including semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies, where UHP gases are critical for high-precision manufacturing processes and operational performance. The company is advancing a network of clean UHP hydrogen production facilities across North America and selected international markets, with a focus on providing accessible, decentralized clean hydrogen and specialty gases while addressing supply gaps for underserved industrial customers.

The company's commitment to supporting the global transition to a lower-carbon economy is underscored by this milestone, as it moves closer to increasing its production capacity. The arrival of the electrolyzer not only signifies tangible progress in Charbone's development plan but also strengthens its ability to serve key customers and create sustainable value for shareholders.
