BioVersys Shareholders Approve All Board Proposals at Annual General Meeting

BioVersys AG, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel antibacterial treatments for multi-drug resistant infections, announced today that all proposals by its Board of Directors were approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting. The company, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange under the ticker BIOV, reported that shareholders voted in favor of all agenda items, including the re-election of Seng Chin Mah as Chairman and the election of Simona Skerjanec as a new board member.

Dr. Seng Chin Mah, Chairman of the Board, expressed gratitude for the shareholders' continued trust and support, emphasizing the company's focus on advancing its lead candidate BV100 into Phase 3 trials for Acinetobacter baumannii infections. 'Having achieved FPFV for the global BV100 Phase 3 trial, we are completely focused on eventually bringing this therapeutic option to patients in dire need,' he said. The company also aims to progress alpibectir, a tuberculosis candidate in Phase 2, developed in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline and a consortium from the University of Lille.

Shareholders approved the 2025 annual report, financial statements, and auditor reports. The re-election of board members David Hunstad, Marc Gitzinger, Marina von Schonau, and Ulrik Schulze was confirmed, alongside the election of Ms. Skerjanec. The maximum compensation for the Board until the 2027 AGM and for the Executive Committee for fiscal year 2027 were also approved.

The approval of these proposals signals strong shareholder alignment with the company's strategy to address the high unmet medical need for new antibiotics. BioVersys' pipeline includes candidates derived from its TRIC and Ansamycin Chemistry platforms, designed to overcome resistance mechanisms and block virulence production. The company's most advanced program, BV100, targets nosocomial infections caused by Acinetobacter baumannii, a critical priority pathogen according to the WHO.

The minutes and related documents, including the Annual Report, are available on the company's website at https://ir.bioversys.com/investor-relations/financials/financial-reports for financial reports and https://ir.bioversys.com/investor-relations/governance-csr/annual-general-meeting for the AGM.

BioVersys is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, and focuses on developing treatments for life-threatening infections caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria. The company's work is crucial as antimicrobial resistance continues to rise globally, threatening the efficacy of existing antibiotics.
