BioUtah, Utah’s trade association dedicated solely to the life sciences, in partnership with Brigham Young University’s (BYU) Technology Transfer Office and College of Life Sciences, announced the 12 life sciences startup companies that have qualified for the Shark Tank Pitch Competition as part of the 2026 Entrepreneur & Investor Life Sciences Summit (E&I Summit). The E&I Summit, proudly sponsored by Wilson Sonsini, will be held March 12 at the Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City, followed by a networking ski day at Snowbird Ski Resort on March 13.
The 12 companies, representing medical devices, diagnostics, drugs, biotech, and digital health, were selected from more than 40 companies that applied to present. Finalists will be selected by an accomplished panel of judges. Winners will receive cash awards and be honored at a ceremony to close the E&I Summit. This event provides a platform for emerging life sciences companies to gain exposure to investors and industry leaders, fostering innovation and economic growth in Utah’s life sciences sector.
