BattleFin Launches Alternative Data Consensus Platform to Give Investors an Edge

Alternative data has long been a tool reserved for sophisticated hedge funds with substantial budgets and dedicated data science teams. The BattleFin Group is changing that with the launch of its Alt Data Consensus (ADC) estimates platform, set to debut May 14th at the BattleFin NYC event aboard the Intrepid aircraft carrier. The platform aggregates signals from multiple vetted alternative data providers and delivers them in a standardized framework, offering investors a continuously updated consensus built from real-world data.

ADC allows investors to see where alternative data sources agree or disagree with Wall Street predictions. It updates constantly between official reports, enabling investors to act on information as it happens. The platform integrates data spanning consumer transactions, workforce intelligence, web traffic, app and mobile intelligence, geolocation data, survey data and more. According to BattleFin, only datasets demonstrating measurable signal relevance for institutional use cases are included, following a rigorous vetting process.

Traditional financial reports and analyst estimates may not provide a clear picture amid current market volatility driven by the war in Iran, global tariffs, rising oil prices and heightened uncertainty. Earnings reports are backward-looking, and analyst opinions can prove risky if incorrect. “Our new Alt Data Consensus platform is the missing aggregation layer for alternative data,” said Tim Harrington, CEO of The BattleFin Group. He noted that ADC was built to complement fundamental research, serving as a benchmark and risk management tool designed to empower analysts and guide investment decisions by providing insights at the key performance indicator (KPI) level.

ADC acts as an early warning system, bridging the gap between official reports and allowing investors to see when market expectations are off. Investors can see how multiple providers' views on the same company or sector align or diverge, spot divergences from Street expectations that signal further investigation, calibrate conviction between earnings, and reduce vendor management overhead with one integration point. BattleFin says ADC eliminates the need for investors to maintain separate onboarding, normalization and QA pipelines for each data provider.

The platform is slated to launch publicly on May 14th at BattleFin Discovery Day in New York, where investors and traders can see in-person demonstrations of ADC buy-side investor use cases. A waitlist for interested buy-side investors is already open for exclusive early access. To learn more about ADC and BattleFin, click here.
