Vaughan, who attended cosmetology school at Aladdin's Beauty Academy in Lawton, Oklahoma, specializes in silk press, a technique that uses heat to straighten hair without chemical relaxers. The process involves washing, conditioning, blow-drying, and flat ironing with heat-protectant products to minimize damage. "Most of my clients have specific issues and are looking for guidance to help get their hair back on track," Vaughan said.
