Andina Copper Corporation (TSX-V: ANDC | FSE: FIR | OTCQB: PMMCF) has reported outstanding drill intercepts from its Cobrasco Project in Choco, Colombia, with drillhole CDH008 confirming the northwest extension of the Cobrasco Central Cu-Mo porphyry system. The hole returned 272 meters grading 0.50% copper, 75 ppm molybdenum, and 1.92 g/t silver from 52 meters downhole, including a 152-meter interval of 0.67% copper, 68 ppm molybdenum, and 1.90 g/t silver starting at 54 meters.
Drillhole CDH008 was completed to a depth of 652.25 meters and targeted the northern continuity of the shallow mineralized zone at Cobrasco Central. Near-surface mineralization begins at approximately 52 meters and is associated with multiple mineralized porphyry phases and related magmatic-hydrothermal breccias. The hole was drilled due north on a -50° inclination from the same platform as previously reported holes CDH006 and CDH007, which intersected broad intervals of shallow, continuous mineralization.
Two additional drillholes have been completed from the same platform: CDH009 (completed, assays pending) and CDH010 (in progress). Visual logging indicates sulfide mineralization consistent with the broader Cobrasco Central system in both holes. The Cobrasco mineralized footprint currently extends approximately 1,100 meters along strike and 550 meters laterally, remaining open in all directions.

The system continues to grow with each successive drillhole, with the mineralization footprint already covering an area of ~1,100m x 550m, and results from CDH009 and CDH010 expected to further extend."
The geology of CDH008 includes a leached cap with intense supergene alteration over intermineral rhyolite porphyry, followed by a 30-meter interval containing chalcocite coating hypogene sulfides, indicating incipient secondary copper enrichment. Strongest mineralization is associated with potassic and sericite-altered magmatic-hydrothermal breccias spatially related to intermineral rhyolite porphyry intrusions, where chalcopyrite occurs as matrix infill and thin cross-cutting veinlets. Bornite was locally observed, suggesting a later higher-sulfidation mineralizing event.
Surface geochemistry and field observations strongly suggest that mineralization continues to the north and northwest. Preparations are being made for mobilization of a second diamond drilling rig to support the next phase of definition drilling at Cobrasco Central and new porphyry centers yet to be tested.
