Anchorbase, a payments and automation platform for mid-market businesses, has raised $2 million USD in a pre-seed funding round led by Cambrian VC and TTV Capital. The company aims to simplify back-office operations by using artificial intelligence to automate payment collection, reconciliation, reporting, and related workflows directly within the software that businesses already use.
Unlike traditional payment solutions that require switching between multiple disconnected tools, Anchorbase allows businesses to initiate payments inside their existing document management systems (DMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, accounting systems, or operational platforms. Users can collect funds through a terminal or payment link, and the platform automatically reconciles payments to the correct invoice while triggering the next workflow step. This integration reduces manual data entry and minimizes errors, streamlining processes for mid-market companies that often lack the resources for large-scale system migrations.
The new capital will support continued product development, deeper integrations with systems of record, expanded customer support, and go-to-market growth across North America. According to the company, the funding reflects growing investor confidence in AI-powered automation for business operations. "We're thrilled to have the support of Cambrian VC and TTV Capital as we help mid-market businesses eliminate tedious back-office tasks," said a spokesperson for Anchorbase.
Anchorbase is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. For more details, the full announcement can be accessed here.
