AdvantaPure, a division of NewAge Industries, announced the launch of EcoFlex, a new sustainable thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tubing designed for biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical applications. The product will be formally introduced on February 25, 2026, in Raleigh, NC, at an event hosted by the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering's Carolina–South Atlantic Chapter, in partnership with distributor Carolina Components Group.
EcoFlex uses a bio-based oil instead of traditional fossil-based oil in the polymer manufacturing process, achieving an approximate 25% reduction in product carbon footprint (PCF) compared to standard TPE. The tubing is sealable and weldable, available in various configurations including single-use systems and custom designs, and comes with a comprehensive validation package to meet regulatory requirements.
Mary Marcus, CEO of AdvantaPure, stated that EcoFlex is the first inherently sustainable product in the new AdvantaBio portfolio of environmentally conscious single-use components. She emphasized the company's commitment to making a positive impact on the industry and the world.
