Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. (ABH) has expanded its mental health services to Washington County with the opening of a new outpatient office in Hagerstown. The location, which began seeing patients on September 1, 2026, marks the organization's first presence in the county and extends its reach to six counties across Maryland.
The new office at 265 Mill Street, Suite 800, Hagerstown, MD 21740, offers a range of services including onsite and offsite individual and family therapy, school-based therapy, telehealth counseling, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management. This expansion aims to provide Washington County residents with the same standard of clinical care available at ABH's other locations, addressing the growing need for mental health services in the region.

The opening is part of ABH's broader strategy to increase access to behavioral health care across the state. The organization already operates in Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery, and Prince George's counties, and now extends its services to Washington County. ABH also plans to introduce its Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) to the Hagerstown office once Maryland's PRP moratorium is lifted, expected in 2027, further expanding the continuum of care.
The expansion comes at a critical time when mental health services are in high demand. By offering a comprehensive range of services, including school-based therapy and telehealth, ABH aims to meet clients where they are and reduce barriers to care. The organization accepts major insurance, Medicaid, and maintains a discounted fee program to ensure no individual is denied access due to inability to pay.
